Our bar carries a full selection of all the popular brands of soft and alcoholic drinks. Tea and coffee are always available as required. We operate an off-shore license so the bar is always open for the duration of the trip, attended by our friendly bar staff. We carry a range of good wines at attractive prices and should you wish to order something special, like champagne, please ask for our wine list.
The Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation is, as its name implies, a waterway which takes advantage of these two most attractive Essex rivers. It connects the town of Chelmsford with the fishing port of Heybridge Basin, and is fourteen miles long with twelve locks including the sea lock into Colliers Reach on the River Blackwater. A cruise aboard Victoria introduces this rural landscape, one of the county’s best-kept secrets, to the visitor from a unique perspective. Cruising peacefully downstream from Paper Mill Lock you pass such places as Ulting Church, Hoe Mill, Ricketts Lock, Beeleigh Weir then cruise into the Long Pond under the Black, Wave and Hall bridges to Heybridge Basin. Upstream towards Chelmsford is equally beautiful, in more open countryside, and passes LittleLittle Baddow (Kings) Mill, Stonhams, Cuton, Sandford and Barnes Locks.
